Target audience for the Burhani Business Association

The target audience of the association are mumineen in Pune who are in varied fields of business and can come together with an open mind to create a harmonious business network.

Current problems that businesses face

There is a gap in the noble expectations of our beloved Aqa Maula TUS in us, vis-a-vis the actual behaviour we demonstrate in the marketplace with each other. From the planning and ethics seminars conducted we gather than mumineen feel there is a lack of support and unity from other mumineen businesses. Other issues include administrative problems, severe and cut-throat competition, operations management, a lack of space, and mindset to grow the business.

Steps to solve these problems

We as a community can be more focussed in our behaviour and approach, learning from other communities that have a cohesive business mindset and work together to ensure maximum prosperity of our businesses. The Burhani Business Association will:

  • Bring our mumineen business people to a common platform with an intention to foster a marketplace prosperity mindset in them.
  • Provide training in soft-skills and technological advancements such that they augment with the association and bring more professionalism in their daily routines. Develop a training calendar and bring different speakers from the industry to ensure a common growth oriented mindset.
  • Conduct one to one sessions and offer consultation services, where needed.
  • Foster an environment where concepts like group purchasing can be implemented.
  • Bring a fraternity into existence and make power-teams within the association, so that mumineen can benefit with each other’s company instead of looking at each other as competition. This will enable creating joint ventures for businesses to apply for bigger tenders (example – serving in SBUT project might not be attainable for one small business but a group of BBA members can form a strategic partnership to win the business), and grow simultaneously.
  • A cohesive business community can help each other by providing a blacklist (example – vendors that have committed fraud with them with a proof of fraud to the central committee members), bring in standardisation of price and quality in individual industries, and to overcome an atmosphere of undercutting and unethical competition killing.

Strategy

The Burhani Business Association (BBA) will:

  • Speak in a language that mumineen would like to listen in, and convey the expectations of Al-Tijarat al-Rabeehah to them in a hands-on practical manner.
  • Make a membership system so that this organization is seen in the right positive light, and with due seriousness.
  • Make a training calendar for one full year, and let mumineen grow professionally. Industry specific seminars will be a part of these trainings. Cross training and understanding other industries can help create a better perspective and market for member businesses.
  • A dedicated team of professionals that can help the committee members overcome business related issues will be formed. For example – lawyers, HR consultants, tax consultants, PR, business consultants, agents to secure government licensing, compliance management, etc. will continuously be available for the member organisations.
  • A designated BBA helpdesk will take enquires and be a source for mumineen to approach with various business issues.
  • Exhibitions and business expos will be conducted under the guidelines of Al-Tijarat al-Raabehah. Member businesses will get preference and exposure in these events.
  • An advisory board will serve businesses through providing market intelligence and research services.
  • Achievements of the BBA platform (individual and group) will be tracked and recorded as testimonials for more businesses to join the association.

Once we gain the trust of mumineen that we operate at a higher level of professionalism and commitment not just towards our own businesses but the growth of our business community, then in the subsequent year’s topics like competition, over-trading, budgetary deficits, and legal compliances etc. can be addressed.

This approach is proposed to the office of Janab Abdealy Bhaisaheb DM. Further guidance is sought from his noble experience, roadmaps, and how can khidmat be done in a better way such that mumineen will benefit, and automatically Khushi Mubarak of Aqa Maula TUS is gained.
